… and start focusing on who is pointing.
That’s kinda my new thing – to look at the ones doing the pointing.
For example, I read about this couple due to be married. As their wedding day approached, some of their relatives secured book deals, photo ops, and interviews in exchange for money. Then those same relatives used those very book deals, photo ops, and interviews to accuse the bride and groom of being all about money and fame.
I thought that was funny. Not that I knew any of these people from Adam. I just happened to stumble upon an article when I was surfing the internet. Realistically, I still don’t know anything about the bride and groom. But I do know something about parts of their family now: They make money talking about the two and have even become quite famous doing so.
That’s why I thought it was so funny – it seemed quite obvious that it “takes one to see one.” And it seems “You-Messages” are the big giveaway.
In other words, whenever I say “You are XYZ,” then it is actually just as true, if not truer, to say “I am XYZ .”
And in yet other words: When I am pointing a finger at someone, I can learn more about myself than the other person.
I mean, if I say, “You always want to be right” then obviously I think I have a point, aka I believe I’m right, right? 😜
Okay then. I’m officially signing off doing my new thing: Following my own fingers. 👉😬👈
