What if I am already in heaven, but I am making a mess of it?! 😳
There’s a story about a man driving through a town he had never visited before. He loves the scenery and wonders if he should move there. So, he approaches a local to learn about life in the area.
Instead of answering, the local asks: “What’s it like where you’re from?”
“Absolutely wonderful!” the man replies. “That’s why I’m hesitant to leave. The people are generous and kind. We all care for each other. It’s a very friendly town – a good place to live.”
“Yeah,” nods the local, “pretty much the same here.”
The next day, another man happens to pass through town and asks the same local the same question. Once again, instead of answering, the local asks back: “What’s it like where you’re from?”
“Oh, absolutely terrible!” the man replies. “That is why I want to get out of there. The people are selfish and mean, with no regard for others. It’s a very hostile town – not a good place to live.”
“Yeah,” nods the local, “pretty much the same here.”
I guess, wherever I go, there I am … 🤭
